Ireland Aerial Imagery was founded by Niall Lehane. Over the last number of years UAV (drone) based photography and videography became a central part of Niall's work. Having recently relocated from the UK back to Ireland Niall wanted to continue in this field of work and the idea of Ireland Aerial Imagery was born.

Niall has always had a passion for photography and technology and it was during his studies and subsequent work on research projects in the UK and New Zealand, where this passion was developed into a unique skill set. Niall has spent the last 5 years working extensively on aerial surveying projects, specifically collecting helicopter and drone based imagery for a range of applications. He has worked in countries across the world including Svalbard in the high Arctic, Iceland, Ireland, the UK and New Zealand.

Niall is  an experienced,  Irish Aviation Authority licensed and professionally insured UAV pilot. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physical Geography from Queen Mary University of London and a MSc in Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing from University College Cork. His background has given Niall the opportunity to understand what makes a good image and how best to acquire the scene or footage that is required for a given project.
